introduction to slipcasting workshop
Discover the art of porcelain slip casting and create your own unique handmade cups.
During this two-hour workshop, you will discover the basics of porcelain slip casting and explore different techniques used in my studio. Through a demonstration, you will learn how coloured porcelain slips can transform the material and create unique visual effects.
You will experiment with techniques such as layering and marbling using coloured porcelain slips to create your own personal designs.
Using a selection of my studio molds, you will create two porcelain cups (approximately 200–300 ml). After the workshop, your pieces will be carefully finished, glazed and fired in my studio before being ready for collection.
This workshop is a relaxed introduction to porcelain slip casting, perfect for anyone curious about ceramics and handmade objects.

4 Cups Experience
A unique porcelain experience combining slip casting and ceramic decoration.
During this three-hour workshop, you will discover two different approaches to creating porcelain cups.
You will create two cups using my studio slip casting molds, exploring coloured porcelain slips and casting techniques, and personalise two additional porcelain cups through different ceramic decoration methods.
You will explore various decoration techniques, including ceramic pencils, underglaze colours, sponge effects and experimental glazing methods such as bubble glazing.
This workshop is a journey through the possibilities of porcelain — discovering the casting process with ready-made molds and exploring the creative side of surface decoration.
At the end of the workshop, you will have created four unique porcelain cups. Your pieces will be carefully finished, glazed and fired in my studio before being ready for collection.
